Soochow Joined the Drafting of Energy-Saving Evaluation Methods for the Combustion of Industrial Kiln and Furnace
The national standard of Energy-Saving Evaluation Methods for the Combustion of Industrial Kiln and Furnace (GB/T32037-2015) has been released officially and will be effective from April 1st, 2016. The very standard was developed and drafted by several excellent scholars and institutes with Associated Professor Wu Xi from the Soochow’s College of Physics, Optoelectronics and Energy as a major drafter and ChangShu Suda Applied Low Carbon Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd as the second drafting institute.
Professor Wu Xi has long been devoted to energy-saving technologies as well as the theories and practices of engineering thermophysics. Through the cooperation with ChangShu Suda Applied Low Carbon Technology Research Institute, much of Wu’s work has been turned into products, bringing both economic and social profits.
The Energy-Saving Evaluation Methods for the Combustion of Industrial Kiln and Furnace (GB/T32037-2015), relying on the findings from Wu’s research, mainly specifies the terminologies, marks, basic principles and concrete methods of the energy-saving evaluation for the combustion of industrial kiln and furnace. It also provides fundamental principles for the measurement and evaluation in the field and would be widely used in energy-saving technology services.
